Do I need a consultant?

Maybe and maybe not. Only you can really make that decision, although we'll provide any information we can to help walk you through to an answer. Some indicators that you might want to work with a consultant include:

  • Feeling like you are doing everything right but your business just seems stuck.
  • Finding social media overwhelming and not knowing how to get started.
  • Sensing that you aren't quite in sync with your customers, either in technology or habits or trends.
  • Not having the time or energy to visit trade show after trade show to figure out what to buy.
  • Feeling like you need to be on every sales channel at once.

What do you guys really do?

Anything you need help with! Honestly. We'll help you pick a water delivery service if that's what you need. Or negotiate with your suppliers for net 60 terms. We can find merchandise to sell or we can find places to sell your merchandise.

Where are you located?

We work out of our home in the suburbs of Boston, MA. We'll come to you, though. It's so important for us to see how you work. We want to see your space, your process, your creative energy. If you have a brick-and-mortar store, for example, we would want to stand in it to get a sense of the flow and the merchandising. If you have a workshop, we'd love to see how you make what you make. If you have a mobile business, like a landscaping company, we'd want to see some of your work, but we'll also find a convenient place to meet and brainstorm.


What if I don't live in New England?

We can come to you! Typically, we prefer to start our relationship with a new client by phone or web conference. That allows us to learn about each other and make an efficient plan. Then we're happy to come do a site visit to see your business up close. Most of what we do, we can collaborate on with you remotely. But either way, we'll work in whatever way makes you comfortable. After all, it's your daydream we're bringing to life! 


What kinds of businesses do you work with?

Our aim is to help any small business owner grow from where they currently are to where they want to be! We have experience working with makers of all sorts — stone work, clothing, soap, candles, toys, jewelry, glass blowers, stationery and more. But between the two of us, we've worked in many industries: auto parts, technology startups, teaching, movie theaters, car rental, restaurants, hotels, office furniture, human resources. Bring us your challenge and we'll brainstorm!


Can I afford to
hire you?

Yes! How can we say that so confidently? Because we know that you don't have a bunch of extra money and you definitely don't want to waste it. We don't want to waste your time or money either. So we're 100% flexible in how we work with you.

We can quote you a fixed fee on small, individual projects, like setting up a weekly newsletter and generating the first six weeks of content. We can work on an hourly basis and bill you for only the hours we use. We can structure an ongoing relationship with you for a monthly fee. 

We know how hard it is to stay afloat as a small business. But we also passionately understand the desire to pursue your daydreams. We truly want to make your dreams a reality, and we will work with you to make that happen!
